Former Celtic manager Ronny Deila is reportedly in talks to manage the Tunisian national team.
The 50-year-old Norwegian has been out of work since leaving Atlanta United in October, after presiding over the worst season in the MLS side’s history.
This would be Deila’s first taste of international football.
Tunisian FA is said to be eyeing him as a replacement for Sami Trabelsi, who was shown the door following a disappointing AFCON outing.
If chosen, Deila will become Celtic winger Sebastian Tounekti’s national manager.
The youngster, who swapped Hammasrby for Parkhead in the summer, has already won five caps for his country.
Sports journalist Rudy Galetti shared this potential turn of events, claiming talks have already kicked off between Deila and the FA.
However, Deila will need to stand out amongst the likes of Franck Haise, Olivier Dall’Oglio, Eric Chelle, Walter Mazzarri, and Sabri Lamouchi, who are all in the frame for the role.
Nassreddine Nabi has already rejected an approach.
