According to Rob Dorsett of Sky Sports News, Birmingham are in discussions with Djurgardens IF over a potential deal for striker August Priske.
The Denmark U21 international netted 18 goals in 27 appearances to secure the Allsvenskan golden boot.
His form has drawn interest from clubs across Europe, including LOSC Lille and Besiktas. He could also represent a solid option for Celtic.
Should the move materialise, it would be yet another obstacle to Kyogo earning consistent game time.
Kyogo could return to Celtic if August Priske joins Birmingham
Kyogo eventually brought his goal drought to an end against Cambridge United in the FA Cup, but a return to the green and white hoops may still be on the cards.
If Priske completes a switch to Birmingham, that would add further competition for places for the Japanese striker.
At Celtic, he would be assured of regular involvement, with the number nine position effectively ready and waiting.
A move back to the Bhoys could therefore be a more attractive option, even on a short-term basis, and could help ease the club’s struggles in attack.
