Celtic star Daizen Maeda appears to have come under the watchful gaze of Sky Sports pundit, Kris Boyd.
The Japanese striker was in good form in Celtic’s win over Livingston as he set up an assist for Johnny Kenny’s first goal of the new season.
With Brendan Rodgers needing to shuffle his pack for the Livingston tie, Maeda once again, found himself out on the left-wing of the Hoops attack.
Whilst he failed to hit the back of the net, Maeda’s strength and power was enough to provide an assist for Celtic.
And whilst many Celtic supporters will agree that the former Player of the Year is not at his brilliant best, what Kris Boyd said about Maeda on Sky Sports was quickly shot down by Chris Sutton and James McFadden.

Boyd, as ever, struggles to remain impartial as he takes a crude swipe at a Celtic player who has caused Rangers misery over the last three years.
Speaking about Maeda’s form, Boyd said on Sky Sports, “They’ve managed to keep a hold of the person you told me was like Maradona. He’s more like Madonna the now, Maeda.
Sutton: “That’s pathetic. That sums up how you misinterpreted what I said then, because the importance of Daizen Maeda to the team, eventually they’re not going to be able to rely on him anymore.
He has been brilliant for Celtic.”
McFadden: “He can’t do it all on his own.”
Sutton: “Exactly.”
McFadden: “No he couldn’t, he still had support.”
Sutton: “And that’s an issue.

Daizen Maeda has been a constant thorn in Rangers’ side so it’s little wonder Boyd is taking a cheap shot at the Hoops hero.
